Online Child Psychology & Positive Parenting Course
Understanding why children behave the way they do changes everything about how you respond to them. This course blends practical child psychology with real, usable parenting strategies — so you’re not just managing behavior, but genuinely understanding and connecting with your child.
Who This Course Is For
- Parents who want to understand the psychology behind their child’s behavior, not just react to it
- Parents navigating a specific challenge — tantrums, defiance, anxiety, screen time battles, sibling conflict
- New parents wanting a strong foundation before challenges even arise
- Teachers, caregivers, and early-childhood professionals wanting a deeper understanding of child development
- Parents who feel like they’re constantly repeating themselves without real change in behavior
No background in psychology needed — this course is built for parents, not students of psychology.
What You’ll Learn
Delivered live over 10 sessions of 90 minutes each, in two parts:
Part 1: Foundations (6 Sessions)
- Understanding child development stages and what’s actually “age-appropriate” behavior
- Why children misbehave: the psychology behind tantrums, defiance, and acting out
- Building emotional vocabulary in children (and yourself, as a parent)
- Positive discipline vs punishment — what actually changes behavior long-term
- Communication techniques that get children to genuinely listen, not just comply
- Managing your own reactions during difficult parenting moments
Part 2: Advanced Practice (4 Sessions)
Available as a follow-on after completing Foundations
- Handling specific challenges: sibling rivalry, screen time, anxiety in children
- Supporting children through transitions (new school, new sibling, separation/divorce at home)
- Building resilience and emotional regulation skills in children
- Real case discussions and personalized Q&A on your specific parenting situations
How It Works
- Format: Live, interactive online sessions — real questions answered in real time, not generic pre-recorded content
- Assessment: Light assessment at course end to reinforce key concepts
- Certification: Certificate of completion provided
- Group size: Kept small so there’s room for real discussion of your specific parenting challenges
Why This Course Is Different
Most parenting content online is either too generic (“be patient,” “set boundaries”) or too academic to actually apply at 7pm on a hard evening. This course is grounded in real child psychology, taught by someone with a Masters in Psychology, and translated into practical steps you can use the same day you learn them.
What You Walk Away With
- A genuine understanding of what’s driving your child’s behavior at different ages
- Practical, tested positive discipline techniques — not vague theory
- More confidence and less reactivity in difficult parenting moments
- A calmer, more connected relationship with your child
- A completion certificate, with the option to continue into Advanced Practice
